How to Submit

Online News Magazine Submissions

Articles are solicited. We would be pleased to publish suitable industry news, trends and product articles from participants in the health industry. (including Manufacturers, Importers, Wholesalers, Retailers, Service Providors and Journalists) Articles may be signed with a link to the author's site (or an enlarged article page on our site if applicable or both). If you have any suggestion or ideas please contact us.

Product Announcements Submissions

We also publish free of charge, health product or practice announcements for Manufacturers, Wholesalers, Retailers or practitioners. To submit an anouncement (available with photo), you need to have a web site already listed in our Directory and need to have a direct hyperlink to one of our pages, either on your home page or your links page as well as on the page hyperlinked in your article if its different. Refer detailed guidelines below.

News articles and Product Announcement submissions accepted for our on-line News Magazine, may in the future be placed in our email newsletter.

You can submit a Product Announcement with photo here (Max 4 per annum) using our Product Submission Form, or Submit a news article (No Photo - Max. 12 per annum,) using our standard directory submission form (choosing "Health:News" as the category.

Error Messages:
If your submission does not meet our basic criteria, the system will not accept it in the first place and instead of an acceptance message, an Error Message will be displayed in Red typeface on the next page. Typical error messages are for exceeding the maximum characters allowed in the article (250), not including a valid e-mail address, or omitting one of the required fields.

Detailed Guidelines

Newsworthy:

Your article must be newsworthy and of interest to our readers. We reserve the right to edit or reject material that is not suitable, is old news or has been submitted before without sufficiently updating.  To simply say " ... I have arrived. Check out my site..."  is not adequate on its own. For a general guide to what is acceptable, please review what has been accepted in the past by reading Past Product Announcements or previouse News Articles.

Be Concise

News magazines are only as good as the current content. In order for them to be good reading, each story must be brief and to the point. Preference will be given to brief announcements and those up to  20 lines of a normal A4 page. (System rejects more than 3000 character. At around 80 characters per line, as per this section of text, that equals approximately 38 lines of text or one screen length). 
Your text should be hyper-linked to your web page URL that takes people back to your expanded product story on a web page.  A brief story in here regularly, will do a lot to get your message out there. . 

ALL CAPITALS are Hard to Read. Most people recognise words by their shape rather than evaluating every letter. So, since using all capitals reduces the shape of the word, it slows down the reading process. Some people also get upset by the concept that in "net etiquette" use of all Capitals is considered to be shouting!  
Article headings will be displayed in Large Bold type in our News magazine. They will also be hyper-linked to the web page URL when supplied. So they do not need to be in Capitals. So please, avoid the use of capitals to ensure your article is not ignored by our review team>

Bold Type can be achieved in the news articles by adding html code as follows:-
Use <B> before the words to be bolded and </B> after, to close the Bold section.

Submitting Photos:

Our system allows you to submit photos with a News Magazine , but only if you are an advanced user and follow our strict guidelines:-
1. The photo must be uploaded before the article.
2. The photo must be less than 95 x 145 pixels in dimension.
3. The photo must be less than 4500 bytes in file size (4.39kb)
4. The photo must be gif or jpg format 
(The jpg format is best to achieve the above max. file size with photos).
We normally like Clear close-up photos of size 85 pixels height & 70 to 85 pixels width.
If you are unable to upload the Photo before you submit the article, then it will be an article that does not have a photo. We will NOT add a photo later. We use and recommend Macromedia Fireworks for optimizing to good quality photos in a small file size.

All original articles are the copyright property of the authors. Article submissions should not contain another persons work unless you have their express permission and you give credit to the author in the posting. Authors submitting articles, by doing so, agree to give up their copyright for any use of the material by the site owners.

Publishing: We update our News Magazine on average every two days and submitters following the guidelines above can expect to be published in this time.
